Day 3 Morning session Word 1
Topic: Espousing the bible as the Dream Book of Life
Speaker: Pastor Seun Olubajo
This morning, we are looking at Espousing the bible as the Dream Book of Life.
The word “espousing” is talking about marrying or becoming attached to someone or something, and in this case, we are talking of your Bible. And the Bible is our dream book, talking about the book that helps us to visualize our future in order for us to achieve the destiny that God has ordained for us.
Espousing the Bible as a dream book simply means getting attached to your Bible, which shows you and me our future and empowers us to fulfill the same. You will fulfill your destiny in the mighty name of Jesus!
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
So, there’s an end that God has ordained for you before you were born. God has gone to the end before He came back to the starting point to create you and ask you to fulfill the destiny. But it’s important for you to know that everything about your life, God has concluded them before He created you. So, there’s no mistake in your creation.
Here’s what the Message translation of that scripture says:
Jeremiah 29:11 “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”
For God is telling you that He has everything about your life and destiny all planned out. So, it doesn’t matter what you are going through; if you’re on the plan of God, it is actually the access to where you are going to.
Imagine what Joseph was going through; if it were to be you, many people would have cursed God and died. For everything that Joseph went through, from being a slave to being a prisoner, it was actually a pathway to where he was going to. So, when you are on God’s plan and purpose for your life, everything works together for your good.
I don’t know what you are going through, but as you align to God’s plan and purpose for your life, you will get to where you are going to in the mighty name of Jesus! If you believe that, let your amen show it!
It is important for you to know that your destiny and my destiny are all wrapped up in the Word.
Psalm 139:15-16 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
That is the totality of me. Everything about me, from my head to my toes, from the day I was born to the last day that I have on this earth, everything has been written in the book.
It’s important for you to know that the Word of God is the marketplace where you go for your raw material in order for you to create a glorious future for yourself. The Word of God. Your thought is a factory where your future can be manufactured—the Word of God.
But please understand that we live in a dreamer’s world. You cannot arrive at a destination you have not dreamed of. In fact, the Bible, which is the Word of God, is a dream book of life.
Isaiah 29:11-12 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
What does that mean?
The Word of God has everything about your life, but the enemy has blinded our eyes for us not to see because he knows that once you see your future on the pages of scripture, he can never rupture your destiny any longer.
So, it is not just for the learned? No. Whether you are learned or not, you cannot access it; there’s something beyond it. It’s not just about reading it. Those deep things about your life and destiny in the Word, just like you can’t find glorious things on the street… you can’t find gold on the road, you can’t find crude oil on the road; they must be sought for.
My prayer is that God will open your eyes; you will see the glorious things that have been said concerning you. If you believe that, let your amen show it!
I remember the testimony yesterday of one of our sisters. She said she was working and praying to God for help to go to school, and an answer came. And what was the answer? He said, “As far as your eyes can see.”
How many of you remember the testimony yesterday? She said she began to see, and what happened? Somebody came and bought free JAMB for her, and in the package, free lessons. That was the first thing she saw that was delivered. She got admission to the University of Ibadan. And she also said that God has used her to break an academic siege in her family, that even her sister is in the university now.
What does that mean? It is what you see that God makes to come to pass in your life. It is what you see that you can seize from what God has ordained for you. And that’s why it’s important for you to just see everything that God has for you and me. It’s in the Word, but until you see it, you can’t seize it. Until you see, it cannot be your own.
I’m sure you remember the story of Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 1:11-12 Moreover, the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
So, it is what you see that provokes God to perform in your life. If you can’t see anything, God cannot do anything.
Jeremiah also saw; He said, “Look from where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it.” The question is this: What can you see?
And God has really vowed, which is a validity of what is written, that He is going to do for us.
Isaiah 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
So, everything that God has spoken, everything that is written, whichever one that you see as far as your eyes can see that is how far you can go in life.
It’s important for you to know that there is no limit. Nobody wants destiny; it is how far your eyes can see. My prayer is this: Your eyes will see far in the mighty name of Jesus! I said your eyes will see far in the mighty name of Jesus! I said your eyes will see far in the mighty name of Jesus!
One of those days, Jesus saw what was written concerning Him. He saw; the Bible says He picked the book which was concerning Him in Isaiah chapter 61, and He read. And the Bible made us to understand that when He finished reading, He saw what was written concerning Him. And that is repeated in Luke chapter 4, and the Bible said when He saw what was written concerning Him, He handed the book to the minister. What does that mean? “I have seen what is written concerning me; you look for your own! You look for your own!”
And we saw how Jesus was going from one level to another. In fact, one of those days He said that anything that happened to Him was as it was prophesied. So, everything that happened to Jesus were the things that were said, written concerning Him. And the same was written concerning you.
And the good thing is this: when you see your future on the pages of scripture, no devil can stop the fulfillment of your glorious future!
One good thing I’ve discovered is this: our purpose has been established on the pages of scripture. Purpose is talking about the reason why God brought us to this world; our assignment on the earth. That’s purpose.
We saw concerning Jeremiah, and God said to him:
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
meaning that God is the owner of your life and is the owner of purpose. But hear me: purpose aborted is purpose transferred. If you see Judas Iscariot, ask him; he aborted his purpose, and purpose was transferred to another person.
Do you know one thing I’ve discovered about purpose? Whether you like it or not, purpose must be fulfilled. If you refuse to fulfill it, God will transfer it to another person.
I checked my scripture and I discovered that it was Saul that God brought to become the king. Yes, the people prayed for it, and he was the one that God wanted to use. But when he misbehaved, God sought for another man, David.
One of these days, God said He regretted that He made Saul the king. May God not say that about you! God will not regret bringing you to this world.
But this is the way I see it: the God we serve is a Master Producer. He brought us into this world called life, which is the title of the film. And the concept of the world came to God’s mind. Hear me: He wrote the script of this world from the beginning of this world to the end of this world. He brought the script into different scenes. He got a location where the film will be acted the earth.
And God now needed a cast. He now began to bring all of us as cast. Now, take note: the success of any actor is the delivery of the script into his hands. An actor that doesn’t have his script, no matter how intelligent or how good he is in his place, he will not fit into the film. Why? Because he doesn’t have the script.
The question is this: who wrote the script? Who’s going to have the script? Man. And that is why it’s called scripture. Are you understanding what I’m saying?
So, it is the script that has designed your future. So, until you have access to your script, you are not part of God’s actors. Praise the Lord, somebody!
And you know the good news about it: before you’re formed, God made you who you are, how you are, and everything about you because of the script He’s written concerning you.
So, when people tell you talk too much, tell them, “This is how I can fulfill my destiny!” When people tell you that you’re too short, tell them, “If I’m too tall, where I’m going to pass, I would not be able to pass it!” When they tell you you’re too fat, tell them, “The pathway to my destiny is slim; I don’t have to be fat!” You know why? God didn’t make a mistake in creating you.
But until you see what’s written about you in the pages of scripture, you don’t have a future.
Very quickly, I have this question, and I’d answer:
How do I catch my dream from the pages of scripture?
- You must be in the Spirit. The dream book is a spiritual book, and to access what has been written concerning you, you must be in the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
So, what does that mean? Until you tune in to the frequency of spirituality, you can’t hear or see heavenly news.
You know what we call a transistor radio. You want to go to any station; what do you do? You tune to their frequency. It is a frequency that you tune to that determines what you are hearing from the transistor.
It’s so important for you and I to know that the frequency to hear news from Heaven is spirituality.
Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet
I was in the Spirit. Remember the God that we serve is a Spirit. The Word of God is Spirit.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
So, it takes your spiritual connectivity for you to collect what is written about you from the book. So, without your connectivity, there’s no collectivity. Praise the Lord, somebody!
Revelation 4:1-2 We saw an experience on how there’s a need to collect something
After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
I want to believe that that’s about your destiny that is in the book. “Come up hither.” Come up; that is, come on this journey. “I want to show you the thing that has been written about you.”
Then verse 2: for him to have access to what has been written concerning him, and immediately what happened? “I was in the spirit…” And if you read further, they began to show him a whole lot of things.
So, for you to have access to what is written concerning you in the dream book, you must be what? Spiritual.
- You must press your way into the dream book by prayers. You mustpress your way into the dream book by prayers.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not
Beyond that, I will show you great and mighty things about your life and destiny that I’ve written concerning you that thou knowest not. But you must first of all call unto me. Call unto me. Call unto me. Call unto me.
In Psalm 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
The wonderful things You’ve written concerning me that will turn me a wonder, not a wonderer, to my world. Open thou mine eyes that I might see them.
- Engage in spirited search. Engage in spirited search.
Luke 15:7-8 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
Now, to light the candle simply means to engage your spirit. It’s the engagement of your spirit in searching the scripture that makes you to have access to the wondrous things from the Word. Engage your spirit; don’t be carnal in seeking what God has written concerning you in the Word. Engage your spirit!
- Maintain a qualitative watch. Maintain a qualitative watch.
You know why? Because only those who are watchful can catch the dream of their life from the scripture.
Habakkuk 2:1-3 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
You know one thing I’ve discovered about God? Yes, you are so much willing to know what has been written concerning you, but I have come to realize that God is more willing for you to see than you are willing to see it. Because it’s God that brought you to this world to come and do His assignment.
So, God is more willing than for you to see it than you are willing to see it. But God knows that when you, which is His product, does well, other people will come to you and ask, “Show me your God,” and you’d take him to God, who’s the manufacturer, saying, “This is the person that shows me how to get my destiny and how to fulfill them.”
When you catch God’s dream for your life from the scripture, you will gain command in life. Somebody will gain commander in the mighty name of Jesus!
- Pray for the anointing to see. Pray for the anointing to see.Eyes that look are many, but eyes that see are few.
In Revelation 3:18 Anoint thine eyes with eyesalve that thou mayest see.
Proverbs 20:12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them.
I saw this prayer, and every time I want to search for anything, I pray this prayer:
- I think this is where we are missing it in this generation. Many of us have a schedule, but how many of us follow our schedule? Sometimes you just say, “Let me check the notifications that entered my phone,” and you begin to walk instead of you to be working in the covenant dream from the scripture.
